Its been a very busy few weeks since my last post. We have been cracking on with the dining room, and i must say its looking amazing. Before we could start we had to get under the floors, the original floor joists needed replacing and new stone pillars build for the new joists, it was a very dusty job. After a week of toiling under the floor we have the joists replaced and have started fitting new floorboards. Its looking great, its just a pain working with an old building as everything is a little wonky. We are also revitalizing the heating system, the old cast iron radiators are off, which was a back breaking job. We are going to fit more modern economical radiators, these combined with the log burner will save a fortune and make the room toasty warm! The floor is going to be great though, we aim to sand it all down next week and will give it a good varnish. Here's how it looks now. With the floor been nearly finished we have turned our attention to the decor, the baby blue has to go! After much deliberation we decided on green. I think you'll like it...
